Hi Everyone! Sorry that I haven’t sent out a newsletter this week. I am still launching my book tomorrow, but things are definitely a few days behind schedule because I had my third baby last night!!!! Tristan Isaac Harner was born 2 weeks early (he wasn’t aware that I was having a “Book Launch”…silly boy). He and I are still hanging out at the hospital and will be home tomorrow afternoon.
So, I’m going to have to say “thanks for being patient” to those who ordered books right before the “pre-launch” date. I will be home to send books by Monday morning. Thanks again to those who purchased books this month! We sold out and I had to do a second printing already!!!
As the campaign draws near, I apologize for completely neglecting some aspects of things, such as a newsletter or post updates. If only you could see me at home, working away at my computer at all hours, designing posters, building Sprout websites (you will be well aware of what that is very shortly!) and emailing various businesses around town for everything from radio spots to release parties. However, please be patient! The book should be available to purchase online (the printed version will be 1 week later) for those wishing to help with promotion. I will only be offering 100 copies of the book upfront, so let me know you are interested in actual promotion help and I will make sure you get a secure online copy to read. Signing up to help isn’t exactly signing your life/free-time/all-love-you-once-had-for-me away, but it will definitely be work. I hope to use each promoter by taking advantage of their strengths, not by throwing a horrible list of requests at them. So, it should be a lot of fun. Plus, you’ll know that if you help well enough, you will someday be selling this pre-release version of the book for hundreds of dollars on ebay. And you’ll wish you’d saved that dumb email I sent you. Just so you could prove your brush with stardom.
Last night (well, okay, this morning at 2am) I finished the book trailer! Who knew you needed to make one of these??!?? Anyhow, check it out and tell all your friends! Pretty soon, I’ll be posting a super cool (and super easy to use) “Promo Kit” that will allow people to tell their friends about the books.
