Cover Designs
Please take a look at these concept designs. They are not the final drawings and include bad images, stock images, and simple sketches. The first one was drawn before the book title changed, fyi. PLEASE comment below because it will help me decide which to use. Thanks!

I like the last one best. I assume you’re going to have wings on her? Maybe you do and I can’t see them at this size.
The top-right design feels a little unnatural because of the way the darker central section cuts our ability to see branches and things like that. If she’s meant to be at the edge of the woods looking out across the city, then you will want an actual picture of trees clearing out into an open space as its basis, I think.
So in order of preference: Bottom picture, top-left picture, top-right picture. I think any of them could be developed to look amazing.

Actually, good question about the wings. I wasn’t sure whether she SHOULD have wings in the picture.

Wow, the first and third are really beautiful. The second one may be the most appropriate though…it encompasses more of the book because it has the city in the forefront, she’s sitting next to the tree like she is in many parts of the story, and it says ‘behind every illusion’ and it kind of looks like there’s a doorway but when you look closer it’s just the sky and the city…I don’t know, it probably is the most fitting, although I like the third quite a lot too…you could probably mess around with that one and make it look really awesome. The first one kind of gives away the whole fact that she’s a fairy which people shouldn’t really know right away.

so totally the 3rd one. the first doesn’t really give the story justice, and is very (VERY) boring. more like a landscape picture. i hardly noticed the fairy flying around in the background. (is she really that small?)
the second one is a bit better, but i think you should try to draw the girl a bit more realistic, not so game-character-ish. the background is cool, though.
i totally like the third. it’s mysterious, and i like the position of the girl. i like the fact that you can’t see her face. it gives it a sorta fantasical mood. (is that a word?) i agree that you should play around with it more. it could be cool. try fixing the dress a bit so it isn’t splayed out, and make her hair a bit longer. its cool!

I really like the third, though not having read the story, I could not say which is more appropriate.
If she is to have wings, maybe they should be barely showing… ethereal, or even appear and disappear depending on the angle you look at it.
I agree with Matt… they are all good!

I actaully really like the first one but in the end I am glad they went with the final cover. I can’t wait to see what it’s about!

I will be seeing you Thursday, about your book. But I really like the last one. The dress was pretty and simple. I like the variety of designs.
good luck… but just one question… why is her hair white at age 18? Is it for show or for real?

i like the third on the best. in the second one she looks like she’s in her thirties. the first one isn’t giving me much apeal and doesn’t make me want to read the book. it’s like a snoze fest.
i think u should’a gon with the third one for your book cover.but the winning cover is good too.
